A New Chapter for Families of Honor

Families of Honor is proud to welcome Kristen Reinertsen as Executive Director.

Founded by John Fitzsimmons and fellow veterans, Families of Honor is dedicated to supporting the brave men and women who have served our nation, as well as the Gold Star Families who have lost loved ones in service.

Kristen brings extensive nonprofit leadership experience, a deep commitment to mission-driven work, and a genuine dedication to the individuals and families the organization serves. Her appointment marks an exciting new chapter as Families of Honor continues building its programs, partnerships, and impact.

“I’m thrilled to share that I’ve officially joined Families of Honor as Executive Director,” Kristen said. “I am honored to support an organization founded by veterans and committed to serving those who have sacrificed so much for our country.”

Families of Honor founder John Fitzsimmons, who has worked with Kristen for more than ten years, expressed his confidence in her leadership.

“I’m honored and excited to have Kristen leading the charge for our organization,” John said. “She puts the mission before herself and truly understands what philanthropic work is all about. She is dedicated to the people we serve and to supporting the Board as we continue advancing the organization.”

As Executive Director, Kristen will work closely with the Board of Directors, community partners, supporters, and volunteers to strengthen Families of Honor’s mission and expand the organization’s ability to support military families of the fallen.

Please join us in welcoming Kristen to Families of Honor.
